In this series, Rev. Jared Beaird surveys the history of the Protestant church in the English-speaking world. We will hear from the Puritans both in England and New England, voices from the Enlightenment, and the theology of the United States, where we will come into contact with the Great Awakenings, the impact of the American Revolution and Civil War on the church, the rivalry between Protestant Liberalism and Fundamentalism, and finally the rise of American Evangelicalism.

When: 7:00–8:30pm every Thursday beginning August 20 until December 10.
Where: University of Montana in the Scaggs classroom 303 (parking is free after 5:00; lot G is closest to the Scaggs building [see map below])
